The Public Service Hall presents itself as a volume which is sensible to the place of it’s location. It fits carefully as a new gate for the park and as a roof that embraces any pedestrian.
The new building shows clearly that the central park has a new extension and there is a new entrance to the new part of the park.
Both values, transparency and sensibility for environment are the building characters that can be applied to the institution that the building represents as well, the Ministry of Justice of Georgia.
We propose a “gate building” located between the streets of Zugdidi and the Central Park. The volume presents itself as a group of porches that can be crossed and orientate pedestrians trough the entrance of the Public Service Hall. Under the porches people can find empty spaces or interior glass spaces. The interior of the building is also visible from the outside. The glass facades are subtlety colored with different colors. The Public Service Hall has a new external image easily recognizable and memorable.
