Special Urban Planning
The Special Plan aims to improve the current conditions of the Marina arrangement as a whole.
It is proposed to improve the longitudinal connectivity of the Promenade along the port in order to improve the quality of the views and the use of the Promenade between the eastern and western beaches on both sides of the port.
At present, the Promenade is interrupted at the height of the Marina. This Promenade divides into one path next to the railroad track fence and a second path at the end of the car park. In order to establish a clear continuity of the Promenade of El Masnou, a platform space is organized on the premises of the Marina, establishing a wide transit area as a continuation of the Promenade, with views over the Marina and moving the car park area to the train fence.
It is proposed to open the Marina to the beach by means of an overpass to walk across the Riera d’Allella allowing the use of the port’s recreational and sports offer to swimmers. At the level of the Marina platform and at the level of the promenade, to establish two large spaces free of buildings where various activities can be organized.
