The construction of the cruise terminal is to create a symbol of the city, improving the relationship between the city and Tagus River and the revitalization of a larger urban area.
Therefore the potential of simultaneous two scales reading of the building stands out, remote and close, with a hybrid relationship between solid and fragmented.
The solidness supports the potential of the functional and regenerative machine and the fragmentation is used as a way to generate the effective distribution program, presenting the clear route for its users through the space as well as enhancing the controlled permeability from, to, and through the building.
Rather than showing, it aims to reveal some obvious things.
