REDESIGN OF RUDOLPHPLATZ
RECOGNITION RESTRICTED IDEAS COMPETITION
The project proposes a friendly intervention of Marburg cityscape and the landscape of the Lahn river. It is an intervention designed to fit carefully to the proportions of urban volumes and textures of the materials of the public space: urban and river. The new intervention seeks to adapt carefully to what exists now to allow, for example, the permanence of main trees.
The intervention proposes that the new Rudolphsplatz becomes a center capable of enabling and facilitating all possible routes for vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians, and at the same time, to become a hub of activity, information and civic use in the city.
