The remodeling of the Plaça de la Fira de Dalt strengthens its commitment to the historical traces of la Fira and the presence of the Church, one of the three fundamental elements of the square next to City Hall and Balcony-Viewpoint. Urban space is defined as a backward access to the Church of Sant Miquel and associated cultural space: the Sala dels Dolors. Conservation of the shop arcade beneath the Plaza, is made to understand this square as, beyond its architectural interest, a defining and integrating element of public space in la Fira, representing the historical value and social witness of activities of Junta de Aimines in the Villa. It performs the complete waterproofing of the premises beneath the plaza, and the recovery of the original ventilation system by instaling the landscape furnitures: sculptural elements that highlight the historic character of the square, where preserves the monument of Onze de Setembre. The paving is continuous with the stone facades of the historic buildings that surround it, so that every corner is integrated into the main space. The space is organized in stone paved stripes of different color where the Church generates a geometric guideline to which these bands are adapted as if it were resonance lines.
