LISBON CRUISE TERMINAL
The construction of the cruise terminal is to create a symbol of the city, by creating a stronger relationship between the city and Tagus River and the revitalization of a larger urban area.
Therefore potentially reading two scales of the building simultaneously stands out to the public, it feels remotely far, yet, is approachable. It also has a hybrid relationship between solid and fragmented, the solidness supports the potential of a functional and regenerative machine and the fragmentation is used in a way to generate the effective distribution program, presenting the clear route for its users through the space as well as enhancing the controlled permeability from, to and through the building.
Rather than showing, it aims to reveal some obvious things.
